Basic requirements for all candidates:

  • English or German language knowledge at the conversational level.
  • Previous experience in the role you are applying for.
  • Ability to be away from home up to 8 months and depend on cruise company conditions.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO RIGHT NOW:
  1. We would like to invite you for Career consultations about opportunities with Cruise Lines. Please choose the most convenient time on
    SIDC Group Calendar and register for Online interview!
  2. Register for Orientational Course as soon as possible (if you haven't worked on Cruise Ships)
  3. Please prepare and send to our office e-mail :
  • CV in English
  • Recommendation or reference letters from previous employers in English
  • Evaluations or appraisal forms, if ship experienced
  • Copies of professional diplomas / certificates
  • Valid passport copy
  • Photo 5x5 cm (smiling, on a light background)
  • SIDC Application form (to make sure that we shall have all necessary information, we kindly ask to fill out our company Application forms in full)

As soon as you have completed the Course and have returned all Forms, you will be lined up for a possible Interview with cruise company. Please note that we might do some additional reference checks of your former employers. In case that there should be anybody not to be contacted from our side, please advise us.

WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO AFTER SUCCESSFUL INTERVIEW:
  1. As soon as you confirmed by cruise company, we will send you the list of papers required by the company. Costs involved are at crewmember own expenses.
  2. The following expenses applies after you are approved by cruise company! (Medical certificates, Police clearance, Visas, Flight tickets).
  3. We will provide you with a company medical blanks, which can be used by the doctor or can be a guideline for him. The required documentation may consists in two parts:
  4. A medical check that you are fit to work on a cruise ship and that you can be employed in all areas of hotel services, including food production and food & beverage service.
  • Vaccinations, depend of ship Itinerary.
The recruitment process takes minimum a month, so please go through the formalities timely
